New Produce Ready

The apricots have gone by now. We now have peaches, carrots, beets, Texas sweet 10-15 onions, summer squash, green beans, and corn. A few ripe tomatoes can sometimes be found. The okra and blackeyed peas are close to being ready to pick. Come and enjoy the fresh vegetables. The best time to pick is in the morning, since it gets hot in the afternoons.

The orchard to the south of the house (directly in front, by the road) has been grown using conventional methods. The orchard (except for the white peaches) to the west of the house and the vegetables have been grown primarily using the organic method.

Remember, if we are not at the farm, you are welcome to gather your own produce. Instructions are on the front porch. We are normally here from 9 am to 4:30 pm, but you are welcome to come at a convenient time for you and practice the honor system. Occasionally we get called away from the farm, or must run errands. You can call 817-894-1472 with any questions.
